International Year of Peace.

Approves the Proclamation of the International Year of Peace; invites all States, all organizations of the UN System, nongovernmental organizations, research organizations and communications media to co-operate in achieving the objectives of the International Year of Peace; requests the Secretary-General to ensure the widest possible dissemination of the Proclamation (adopted without vote). - The text of the Declaration is annexed to the resolution.
